Many say I'm heartless
That I never really care
Guys think I'm beautiful
They like to stop and stare

I've lost a lot of friends
Most people say I'm mean
They don't understand
I'm just another teen

I tend to exaggerate
Just a little bit
But if I don't get what I want
Get ready for a fit

Many say I'm heartless
But they just don't see
That the little act I'm doing
Isn't really me

idk I guess the world is like your stage and your the star and everyone else is just your audience >:)  and fans are just fans they don't get you they just think you're a riot. I think this poem is cool and I get it :D (which is saying a lot for me because I'm as deep as a kiddy pool)

 I understand what you're getting at, it's like a the speaker of the poem is pulling on an act, a perfomence for those around her.

Haven't you ever been in a situation where people hold you to a certain standard but you're really just like them the only thing special is how you look or act they don't bother trying to really understand you

it seems like i am having trouble understanding some of your work. i can tell by reading it that it's great writing, but i dont get any of the deeper meanings or "concepts" (just.me_899).
