Beloved
Night falls over Earth,
The moon hangs low in the sky,
Silently I dream.
I dream of my love,
How he holds me so tightly,
And never lets go.
His strong face I see,
Under the moonlight we dance,
Our feet glide on air.
His thin lips meet mine,
I wish this moment would last,
But it goes away.
We stand there breathless,
Taking in our surroundings,
He starts to smile.
I love you darling,
He whispers in my cold ear,
Always stay with me.
I slowly wake up,
Reality hits me hard,
For he is not there.
I long to see him,
But he is just an image,
Meant for someone else.
Sadly not for me,
A warm tear rolls down my cheek,
Only in my dreams.
