Wisps of Wind
Wisps of wind
Pull at my hair
And nip at my skin
Oh! How I love the chilled air
Trees dance and sway
In this cold winter breeze
Under the largest I lay
When I hear a faint whisper, “Please?”
Please come to me
So we can dance and sing
Strum your guitar so I can see
How birds truly spread their wings
I strum my guitar
And she dances through the woods
Until out come the stars
She would stay if she could
The birds swooped down and seemed to grin
As they spread their wings and took her away
And upon the wisps of cold winter wind
I heard her say that everything is going to be okay
