Why Did I Belive Him?

Why did I believe him?
The way he looked,
Was so peaceful and charming.
The way he touched my face,
So sweetly and gentle,
Like he would never hurt me.
The feel of his lips and the taste,
Gentle and a refreshing taste,
Like the taste of mint.
He said he was in a love,
That time couldn't break,
And wanted to be with me forever.
But he was wrong and so was I,
To let him in my life,
And to trust him and belive in him.
Why did I?
