BOOM!
The thunder roars.

FLASH!
The lightning zaps
Across the sky.

In a blink,
Her room, once dark,
Is filled with light,
But only for a blink.

BOOM!
She cowers
Under the sheets,
An imaginary barrier
Between her
And her enemy.

Pitter-patter. Pitter-patter.
Boom.
But it is softer now…
Pitter-patter. Pitter-patter.
As it lulls her to oblivion.
