Bored
Nothing to do.
So, here I am.
So bored in fact,
I miss everything around me.
I miss the tapping of a pen.
I miss the scribble of a pencil.
I miss the rustle of paper.
I miss the sound of your voice, gently trying to wake me from my stupor.
But there is no way that I could have possibly missed your heavy hand thump my back,
Sudden.
And I know that there is no way that you could have possibly missed my palm whip across your cheek,
Quick.
Of course, I was the one to get caught.
Of course, I’m the one with angry parents to face.
Of course, I have an angry principal in my face.
Of course, I am targeted as the guilty party.
Of course, I now serve a whole four hours of detention on a Saturday.
So, here I am,
So incredibly bored.
