Mr. Fire
The fire eats more blazing higher into the sky
The daydreams and memories seeking new sights
The pain, oh the pain, it eats away at me slowly
Taking my life through the days, and all the nights
Taking from me what I only have left, strength
In return giving me thoughts, the bad ones
And silence, you know, the sound?
The words long to escape my mind but I push them back
For if someone heard them they would know I am weak
They would push me more, into the death I am living
And that’s not what we want yet, or is it?
To be completely gone from all of this pain
To escape the faces of everyone who hurt me
And to be here, laying while you cry those fake tears
And then, just as I am now, helpless to tell you to stop
Stop pretending because you are the fire that eats me alive
