To whom it may concern
I know you’ll ask
I haven’t learned
I can’t be the way you want me to
Acting fake won’t pull me through
Sorry I couldn’t give two weeks notice
Yes, I really have to do this
And I know you’ll never see
What’s different about the heart in me
But you know I’ll never be the same
Won’t play by the rules of your crazy game
So here it is
I’m quitting you
And all the crap you put me through
Have a nice life and blessed be
Goodbye, goodnight

This poem is about all the people who come in and out of your life who expect you to conform to their standards, even when it means being someone you're not. The poem is saying that I'm always going to be myself, no matter what people say.
