Red roses
dried and wilted.
Boxes of chocolates
now melted
and smeared
all overthe marble counter tops.
Years' worth of cards,
shredded to bits,
tossed here and there.
A love,
once
one so true
ain't nothin' now.
We're nothing.
This is all we have left
of what we once were.
So blinded by love,
caught up in the moment.
How cliche.
