If you love something, let it go, if it comes back to you it's yours, if it doesn't, it never was.

The sand is squishing
Beneath my toes
As we walk
Side by side
I can't believe
You said you loved me
The wind is blowing
Away my hair
The hair you
Brushed away so recently
I can't believe
You're gone
The sun is burning
My shoulders
But I don't care
Because I still
Can't believe
You didn't say good-bye
The water is lapping
At my tan legs
I can't believe
I'm going to do this
The tide is rising
And it swallows me into
The growing ocean
Darkness surrounds me
And I'm relieved
Because now I know
No one will ever
Break my heart again

This is the first poem I've written that didn't pertain to my real life. Hope you enjoy!

"The first draft of anything is crap."

Very interesting suicide poem. I like the feeling you hit.
