I sent you flowers but you could not smell
I made you chocolate but you could not taste
I made you a sculpture but you could not feel
I wrote you a song but you could not hear
I love you but you can not love
You just look back at me
Staring me down
Judging me
So I’ll hide from you
And when I come back
You’ll be there
I can always count on you to be honest with me
Because unlike anyone else you don’t lie to me
You show me what I’m looking for
