Farewells and Fatalities
I have told you before,
And I will say it once more.
You look so perfect,
Lying upon the floor.
Many times I have tried,
To prevent the tears you cried.
From sliding beneath those eyes,
And ruining that beautiful smile.
But even when I am right,
And I know you are wrong.
You always want to fight,
And you will not leave me alone.
So many times I have screamed,
So many times I have dreamed.
Of leaving you, lying,
Watching me leave.
I feel it is better that I go,
And you remain just a ghost.
Lying where I left you,
In the position I love most.
Staring upward, as I fade,
One last look before I escape.
One final word to say..."Goodbye."
