Paradoxical Paradise
Like the inescapable pull of the north pole of a magnet to the south,
Like the inexorible bond formed between a mother and her daughter at first sight;
Like those precious drops of water that the weary traveller seeks,
Like the myriad of colours and those pinpricks of light that the blind boy dreams.
Like the pearly mists of the dawn that obscure yet beautify,
And the fiery sunset that cause the heart to leap out with joy,
Like the sighting of the new moon,
And the budding of spring's first blossom;
You are who I breathe for, looking forward to as the days race by;
Your touch is what I long for, as I seek comfort in your loving arms;
A lifetime with you is what I earnestly pray for, as we greet each tomorrow together;
A place in your heart is my one great wish, for you have inevitably stolen mine.
