I’m sorry I’m not perfect
Like you wanted me to be
I’m sorry i was blind
When you wanted me to see
I’m sorry that I cried
And made things hard for you
I’m sorry that I did things
That normal children do
I’m sorry you had to hit me
To teach me what was wrong
I’m sorry that I stalled
And always took too long
I’m sorry you didn’t love me
I’ve tried hard to be good
I’m sorry that things turned out
The way I knew they would
I’m sorry can’t forget
All you’ve done to me
I’m sorry I can’t let it go
And just let things be
I’m sorry, I really am
I wish that you were too
I’m sorry that I’m me
And not at all like you
