Do what Mama couldn't
Good night baby
Close your eyes and forget all of this
I'll protect the both of us.
Ignore the guns
Ignore the screams
I'll plug our ears for the both of us.
Don't listen to them, baby.
Grow up like you should, like you're supposed to
Live your life and love every moment of it
Do what your mama couldn't.
Theirs going to come a day,
You'll get out of here
And I'll go to a better place
Where angels sing amazing grace
Promise me baby, you'll live for the both of us
Dream huge dreams
Go the extra mile
Sleep tight, baby
You hold the world in your tiny hands
Take it and go with it
Do something for your weary mama
Something she didn't have the courage to do
Love life.

Again, like your other piece, I love this. You can really feel the grief the mother feels, but also her hope for her baby.
5 stars! =D
