Rescue Me

A smile dances upon your lips
Beautiful boy, be mine
Come here
Dig past my outer shell, get to know the real me
Everyone adores you, all the girls, but choose me
Friend? Can I even call you that? More like an acquaintance
Give me a sign, I’m begging you
“Hi,” that’s all it takes for you to make my heart melt
I wish you could see me
Just invisible to you
Keeping your distance, but why?
Let me show you the world from a different view
My hands will guide yours
Never. I will never let you down
Only because I love you
Please don’t make me wait, otherwise
Questions will form in my mind
Really? Should I wait forever?
Suddenly I see you, and they vanish
Tell me things you’ve never even whispered
Understanding and my undivided attention are my gifts to you
Very shy, so approach me first
When?
You are my light in all this darkness
So Rescue Me.

I liked the beginning but you lost me at the end. you made this girl, ahem, sound a little helpless/ damsel in distress-ish :)
