the sound of wings

in my ears
the sound of wings,
beating,
singing!
in the corner of my eye
i see them
their faces
never able to tell,
man or woman.
i see them everywhere,
and sometimes,
nowhere.
they whisper their songs,
when i sleep
soft songs,
ancient,
forever.
when i hear them,
when i see them,
i smile
happily!
