I Am Not
My hair is the color of a starless night.
My eyes, the color of rust
My voice is like thunder
And I run like a jaguar chasing its prey through a golden field.
To my brother, I am a fly buzzing around his head.
But I am also like a volcano erupting—fiery, red and bellowing
I am not a rabbit scuttling through the grass
A drop of water falling into a cup
Or pink
