Winter: A Love Story

The sky, covered in low dark clouds
Accompanied by a strong winter's breeze
The smoky scent of wood burning, mixed in with the fragrance of pine
The crackle of leaves crunching underfoot
Cold flakes of snow, falling down on us like trillions of white skydivers
The roaring sound of football, echoing on televisions and high schools around the nation
A cool cup of deliciously spicy eggnog along with a gingerbread cookie
Slow coming, soon gone, curious winter
