Secondhand Angel
no perfection on my lips
 can't claim to be anything
 but secondhand
 still just as pretty
torn and frayed on the edges
a stain here a tear there
 wrinkled, though as new
 but secondhand
 fallen and free
 squandering life away
 these shackles break skin
 another scar, good as new
 but secondhand
 heart isn't quite right
 hasn't run properly
 but i can still love
 it's good enough
 but secondhand
 just like everything else
 forgiveness and what we knew
 it's still like before
my dreams, all in your grasp
 your secondhand angel
