God save the lost souls
that drift over this city
corrupt, they stray
bleak, blackened, beaten
they wail,
they wail,
resident lives know
it is no trick of the wind-

The Reaper is coming for them
and we are fearful.

Very... interesting. I am not very religious, but I enjoyed this poem. One thing I must say, though, is that the poems seems incomplete. It seems to cut off suddenly. I feel there should be more. Also, the last line "and we are fearful." doesn't seem a strong enough end to a rather strong, powerful poem.
