Hair ruffled
skin sodden
voice muffled
downtrodden
face not fit to feel the light
heart too tender to stand your spite
see her in the corner hoping for death
counting the burns from your last breath
bullets for eyes that split you in two
hole like a womb that inside you grew
and then there was remorse
fire searing from the source
burned your eyes
burned your ties
regretting the day you left her behind
