Gone But Never Forgotten
I left my cereal Bowl in the sink
But not for the reasons that you might think
It's not to sit and rot and stink
Not to attract critters to the kitchen
Not rats or ants or mice or mink
I also left my bed unmade
So that my presence, my image won't fade
So you can see just where I've played
Well it's just, I'm a little afraid
On account of me leavin' on a trip today
I think I'll miss you guys
I don't like to be sad
I don't want to mist your eyes
But I do want to go
So you see I've
Well I mean I've
I left my cereal Bowl in the sink
(when I'm back
Into the dishwasher it goes
with a small happy plink)
