Forever the Bay
I know that things have gotten tough
For you these last few years
With all the rage, hatred, guilt
And scores of blinding tears
But fear not even one more day
I have a bridge to our great divide
We will cast away into the sea
Forever our fates are tied
Hand in hand, we’ll walk the pier
Down the wooden way
But we’ll keep walking from the end
Down into the Bay
We’ll drop into cold, brisk water
Now we just hold our breath
We’ll sit and smile and simply wait
For warm and breathing death
We are home now, free at last
Away from cruel life upon the land
And all I know is that we’re still
Connected hand in hand
