Time We Would Never Have
We thought we had years.
We didn't.
We thought we had time-
Time to conquer the world
Time to solve all the world's problems
Time to climb the tallest mountains
Time to do everything we ever dreamed of doing
Time to find the cure to cancer
Time to share every little secret we had
Time to just be with each other.
We didn't.
We thought we would always say hello, never goodbye.
We wouldn't get to say either.
It was all over and done,
and we were long gone,
Before the words even reached our lips,
And it was out of our control
