Selfless or Selfish

A selfless love is all I want,
I'm tired of my greedy ways
I get nothing from my somethings,
Just need the company of a good soul
Being alone so long I think,
Isn't that parallel to heartbreak
But are those thoughts selfish,
or can I really devote myself
There are too many things,
These possessions and achievements
I just want to empty it all out,
Then maybe I'll deserve him
Is this thinking ego-centric,
Or is there someone out there similar
God, please tell me I'll be okay,
I just want to fall in love someday
