I take every bit of you
That I can get,
Absorbing you like a flower
Sucks up rain.
My roots are firmly planted
Within this life,
But you keep me
Blooming;
Give me a sun
To grow towards.
I've finally found a gap
Between the leaves of
The plants that previously
Kept me out of the light,
And now I am growing.
Soon, I will be the most
Vibrant blossom in your garden,
And your eyes will be
Glued to only me.
