Not Hungry
Ribs stick out as she looks in the mirror
Pale skin stretching over nothing at all
Long hair covers half of a face
Wrung with fear
Wide eyes scan a stomach for some sign of beauty
Like a treasure map
She thinks there’s nothing to find
And when she turns away,
Hair swings across beauty
And she leaves the money that would have been lunch
Because she’s not hungry, really
