"When there is a will, there is a way."

"If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place."

My mind is blank
I’m disappointed of myself
I’m about to cry my own misery
I expected to be the best, the number one
A special star that shines more than any other star
But I’m dull
I’m less than nothing
I don’t have any light inside me
Even the tiniest stars around me shine
And I, whom supposed to be The Greatest One
Is just another one
Inside my castle I hide myself
What I think, What I feel, What I do
But as nothing gets in, nothing gets out
And in the end, my haven, my shelter
Becomes my prison, my worst nightmare

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece after my teacher showing a couple of videos to me and my class of the Poetry Slam and asking us to write a piece. I didn't want to write one, because I had no idea of what I would write about. Literally, my mind was blank. But my teacher pushed me and pushed me, and then my frustration became this :P. This is my first piece ever, so i hope people like it.
