She Left
The pain never stops.
Every second of every day it wraps its bony, tiresome fingers around my aching soul.
And no one can fix it.
No sugar coated lies or stories with happy endings are going to change that fact that it’s slowly eating me alive.
But that girl did exist- the one they want me to be- all happy and full of life- but she left a long time ago.
She packed her bags before things got serious.
She took off before this body I live in became full over the rim with sadness and loss.
She said goodbye so she wouldn’t drown in self-esteem issues and depression that takes over every crevice this body has to offer.
Without her presence this body is receding into nothing but bones and flesh.
She was everything, but then she left.
