within our eyes
sorrow,
endless pain,
reside in your eyes.
dull an detached from the world,
trying to be hidden .
in those eyes,
anger and shame,
regret,
also live there.
unexpectedly,
seen by mine.
surprise creeps into them.
so many emotions absorbed by them.
taking so much of the world in.
but reflected by mine.
the same crevices to hide those hateful emotions.
and a mirror to reflect,
those happy ones.
so when people come to stare,
they believe that my happiness lives there.
but its their joy reflected back at them.
when i come to stare,
i see your pain reflected into my eyes,
back to you.
our pain and sorrow
twisting together to form one.
the way our sad hearts,
twisted together creating,
love.
