I look in the mirror,
Line my eyes,
Put on lipstick
And a glossy overcoat
That shines like the pages
Of the magazine I read.
Turning the page,
All I see
Are my dirty fingers
Holding the corners carefully,
As if my hardened calluses
Might just tear the beauty
Right off the unreal faces.

This was inspired by every girl who looks at the magazine and compares herself to something so fake.
