Numb.
Is it possible be in so much pain
that I feel none at all?

Could it be that I am so drowned in tears
that I can’t cry at all?

Is it insane to be so mad
I can’t feel myself begin to fall?

Could it be that I am so confused and so torn
that it has all made me numb right down to the core?

Is numbness an ache that is so extreme?
Or is it a cover to hide what they see?
 Maybe it’s just darkness…
 Or a blinding light.
I think it’s just something I am trying to fight.
 Maybe it’s just emptiness
A big old nothing that never ends.
Or maybe it’s simply all just…
