And the Storm
My curtains are billowing. Reaching.
Lightning leaps. Then silence. Wind. Silence. Slamming doors. Thunder cackles. Silence. Curtains reach.
Rain sprinkles in. Cool and relaxing. So small. Sprinkle.
The sky is so calm and yet so angry.
Sigh. Breathe.
Darkness stares. Lovely darkness.
Soon all is louder. Closer.
I close my eyes and for the briefest second , for the shortest second I am deathly frightened. The feeling vanishes. Flees.
It's just me, God and the storm.
