I try to cry
But even that is hard
She pats my head
Feeds me food
When the water comes down on me
We both joke
But I can’t laugh no more
The core of my heart beats no more
The gingered fish plays with my taste buds
Suds slowly encircle my hair
I don’t care for her
She cares for me
I feel weak
Defenseless
She wants to leave
I weave in and out
In and out
My eyes dry out
And a last tear moves down on my cheek
