Perpetually stalking, walking
behind you just trying to
keep up
You move so fast and I'm
so
slow
My eyes replaced with stars and my cheeks aglow
You're leaving me
I have been left
behind
Completely confined
In the depths of your
complexity
The simplicity of my
perplexity
And I've been up all night
Trying to untie
the knot in my laces
Or swallow the lump in
my throat
And finally promote
these things I've been meaning to tell you
all these pretty words and frilly
fragments left unsaid
But I think I'll go to sleep
instead.
