I Am Poem

November 14, 2010
By Anonymous

I am the shimmering moon in the dwindling light
I wonder when my own essence will fade
I hear the echo of all
I see the walls closing in
I want to see within this twilight we call home
I am the shimmering moon in the dwindling light
I pretend to follow old footsteps when all I want do is make my own path
I feel others wish to do the same, but keep on moving. No regrets.
I worry the moons that had created my shine will slowly castaway
I cry to face the facts and believe the imperfect lies
I am the shimmering moon in the dwindling light
I understand the truth will haunt my spinning earth
I say I will live big, but expect the worst
I dream to keep the balance while slowly tipping over
I try to keep sanity in the galaxy of insane
I hope morals consciously cascade on me with acceptance
I am the shimmering moon in the dwindling light

No; it's not anonymous. I applaud you, Alex! I love bizarre poetry. I am a bit of a crazy yet whimsical poet myself.

I love this poem. It is too bad that you are anonymous; for you deserve praise as yourself.
