Expectations
The crushing pressure
Of all they think
So much worrying
You forget how to blink
As their faces turn toward you
Their eyes begin to cut
All your walls are gone
If only it would go away, when your eyes begin to shut
You want to make them proud
But you don't want to try
You get so stressed
Your brain becomes a sty
If only you could go
Disappear for a while
Then maybe, just maybe
You could possibly crack a smile
I've learned to let it all go
To work for the one and only me
It's the condition of adolescence
Aren't we supposed to be free?
