Highschool remembrances are mostly bleak
If you're from Ohio.
You always remember the looks they give you
Even if you're no different from them.
You came from someplace else
And you're automatically an outcast.
They don't understand
You have no control
I am what I am with what I have
The mother who yells and screams
At things we have no control
But then again I know now
What you can and cant control
Or the fact that mmy dad works a lot
But how happy would I really be
If i was livinga on the street
And if I never tried
Would I be the same person today
Would I fight for what I believe
Or be writing these words
Would I care about having an ill sister
I don't know but I definetely do care
If I didn't have strict parents
I woulnd't know rules
I would hate those who try to help me
And resist those who lend their shoulder
If I didn't work for my things
I wouldn't know the meaning of work
I wouldn't cherish the things I have
I would buy everthing and never appreciate it.
If I lived any differently
I wouldn't be the same
And why should I change?
