Curtain Closing
They have had their
 show but now it must
 come to an end

 The curtain is about to
 close and they are rising
 from their bow

 There is no more applause,
no more cat calls and no
 more wolf whistles

 Opening night seems
 like forever ago, the last
 performance has been
 perfected

We sit on the stage, I
 can still hear the music,
 even though it has long
 since faded away

 We're starting to forget our
 lines and the props have
 been put away

 The flats have been
 repainted, a new scene
 begins

 The script has been
 rewritten, a new cast
 auditions

 The show is over, but
 I'm still on stage...
