I Realized
I woke up this morning and realized,
That the sun wasn’t shining as bright.
The birds weren’t singing as pretty,
And something didn’t feel right.
I woke up this morning and realized,
That I didn’t look forward to things anymore,
Everything felt the same,
Every window, wall, and door.
I woke up this morning and realized,
That something seemed to be gone.
Like something was just gonna bug me,
Like I had done something wrong.
I woke up this morning and realized,
How much I really need you,
I cry now just to think,
That this whole time I’ve just kinda used you.
I woke up this morning and realized,
I don’t need a boy to complete me.
They will always come and go,
But a friend will never leave me.
I woke up this morning and realized,
That the meaning of life is to learn,
That every day you realize something new,
So live your life, to your own concern.

Wow, awesome poem! I can completely understand its feelings, having experienced them before. Keep writing, this is very clever and so true. :D

I really like the fifth stanza, about how you don't need a boy to complete you :) But I was confused in the beginning a bit. In the first stanza you said something didn't feel right, and in the second stanza, you said that everything felt the same. Did you mean everything physically in the second one, and mentally or emotionally in the first?
Great job with this!
