I Destroyed an Ant

It wasn’t that easy
A couple of times it dodged
A fiery spot upon the concrete
Till my foot displaced air
And delivered the stomp of death
Upon the tiny creature’s soul
Then afterward—
An act of vengeance
His fire ant friend came
Blazing a fiery path straight to my shoe
But alas it was easy—I crushed him too
