Society is predator
the next generation is prey
protect the children
save their souls
parents guide them to the light
hold them close, shield them
let them know that they are beautiful
tell them to love their inner selves
cover their eyes when plastic walks by
take away the blades and guns
tell them to speak with their hearts
they may be pushed down
they may become black and blue
but they still rely on you
