Six Feet
I didn’t know what to say
 Six feet below your window

After what we did this summer
 How could I say goodbye?

 I listened to the waves
And the wind blow beneath my feet

It reminded me of when you
 Listened to my guitar

 That played your tune
The night I first felt something

I tried to look for you but
You were hiding under the roof

I waited for the next morning
So I could meet you on the beach

 The rest was history
As we fell for the rest of the summer

 Now I must go
 Though I don’t want to

I look into your sad, sad, sad eyes
 And my throat closes

 Your touch says everything
 And I as I leave

 My heart drops
 Six feet
