You or Me
I woke up from a dream last night
 I would’ve forgotten you
If it weren’t for the dream
It was the last day of school
And everyone was crying because they
Had to say goodbye for three months
I saw you in the midst of it all
 “Call me,” you said
 I said goodbye
 And gave you no hug

 I woke up, startled
And realized I DID miss you
So we had that 3 hour
 Freeze dried phone conversation
 We couldn’t see each other…
 Until 8th grade started
 So you could be patient!
 Even though I’m not

It was weird how we became friends
 You assumed wrong when you
Thought I was staring at you
 (I REALLY wasn’t…just spacing out)
And I just said we could be friends
 Then we exchanged numbers
Too bad we couldn’t talk much
 Since there was no time

 Things got AWKWARD
 After 8th grade progressed on
 What happened?
All I know is it’s not my fault
 It couldn’t be yours
Well, we have no classes together
And I’m forbidden to call boys now
So whether it’s you or me
 Someone should destroy
 The wall between us
