A quip
People say it can be a hurtful thing
For it stings like a whip
And whips with a sting

But if it’s been said in jest
Not meant to offend
With only intentions of the best
Should this person still be your friend?

When it’s all fun and games
No one gets upset
But now it’s all up in flames
And you are beginning to fret

C’est la vie
That’s what they say
But that’s not the way to be
It’s just so cliché

To forgive and forget is what we are told
But that is a load of crap
Still, don’t begrudge them for this until you grow old
Next time just tell them to shut their yap!
