Snakes lashing
I watch as my family falls on the failings of my sister, berating her and yelling at her and not one mention of her accomplishments. I am reminded of the death of a bunny that fell in a snake’s nest, bitten and poisoned, over and over again. A tear forms in my sister’s eye, and I cannot keep mute any longer, and come to her defense. I should of known better. Everyone turns on me, even the sister I was defending, and once again my body is covered in snake bites, the poison of their words killing me slowly.
