Standing sturdy on the side of the road
Building a wall from the rest of the world
Hiding the creatures living within
Holding and nesting them while the winds begin

They stretch the long branches up to the air
Waking from their long slumber share
The roots twist and sprout in the ground
Nothing able to move them around

One second they are ever so still
But then the next they sway and twirl
Catching the joy in their leaves
And taking away all the evils into their sleeves

Bringing a new life to all
The trees continue to stand tall
Through everything that comes their way
They continue their goal and forever they will stay
