Children are simple.
They say what they think.
Adults have some sort of problem with that.
Like if a little 4 year old boy and his mother are in the store.
And the mother’s friend from somewhere shows up.
Well she’s wearing a funny hat.
And of course the mother thinks the hat is funny too.
But all she says is “Hello! How are you?”
On the other hand the boy is puzzled.
He doesn’t understand why his mother doesn’t think her hat is funny.
So the little boy comes out and says:
“Why are you wearing that hat? It looks funny.”
Well, the mother is embarrassed that her son just said such a thing.
When the lady just says to him:
“Why sweetie, why are you wearing that shirt? That’s just weird.”
The boy smiles like him and the lady can read each other’s minds.
They could.
All they had to do was say it.
