Winter is Coming
“Put on your coat,”
Dad says, I look out the glass door,
at the frosty,
earthy floor.
Sighing heavily,
I turn away.
Once again, Winter,
is on his way.
It’s not that I don’t like Winter,
Oh, not at all!
But it hurts the way the way that the cold air nips at my fingers.
Is there anything left from summer that still lingers?
Winter is coming,
Winter is coming.
I better go get my coat,
The one that has the warm fur lining.
